After many years wanting to quilt and wanting to blog, I have decided that 2014 is the year to begin. My name is Sara, I work in healthcare in North Carolina, and I love to (try to) quilt! After an initial foray into quilting about five years ago, life got in the way and I put it aside. Now we have a house with a space for me, my life has settled down a bit, and I need a hobby. I'm not sure who will read this but I definitely want to document my progress as I learn this wonderful form of art.
My husband always calls me a princess, and my father did when I was little, so that is where the blog name came from. I'm certainly not quilting royalty - in that respect I'm more of a commoner for sure - but my husband forbade me to use anything related to cats in the title so princess it was. He didn't like Crazy Cat Lady Quilts for some reason!
